Fernanda Rivera, El Buen Samaritano

ARF’s Staff Spotlight for February 2025 is Fernanda Rivera! Fernanda is Education Manager at El Buen Samaritano, an organization committed to providing top-tier health care, social services, education, and nutrition to the Latino and Spanish-speaking community of Travis County.

Fernanda came to El Buen Samaritano with a goal in mind: create a space for youth where they could be themselves and strive for their full potential. Throughout her work, she has embraced the opportunity to give to the next generation and make an impact in the community. She hopes to inspire every young person she works with to seek out lifelong learning and pursue their dreams. Her goal is both to prepare her students for the complexities of the world and help them shape it for the better.

In Fernanda’s own words, working with youth is not just a job. It’s a heartfelt journey filled with potential and hope. Long or short, simple or complicated, what makes a journey memorable is the people you meet along the way.
